Burnsville North Carolina Mural Painter and Body Artist Hadasah Morelove

Hadasah Morelove is a self taught visual artist and community activist whose work aims to build a more peaceful, loving and connected world. Through the mediums of painting, drawing, textiles and body art, Hadasah harnesses the grief of climate change, social injustice and cultural disconnection and transforms it into the vision of a world that is joyful and solutions focused. In 2013, she received a B.S. in Environmental Studies from SUNY Buffalo, providing her with knowledge and skills to better advocate for the plants and our Earth. Her colorful and bright surrealistic paintings are place based and celebrate her mountain home, simple living, sustainable food systems and the diversity and abundance of all life.

Hadasah has been self publishing since 2018. Her printed works include annual art calendars, zines, and greeting cards. Most notably, in July 2025 she completed her first children’s book, ‘Reciprocity Is - a story of sharing with the plants'. The story follows a young child as she meets native medicinal plants and learns the lessons of reciprocity.

In 2021, Hadasah started More Love Art. Through her business, she offers murals, custom signs, embroidery, and the Snail Mail Club. Beyond her personal practice, she is also a leader in community engaged art, seeking to facilitate experiences that build bonds through play, love, creativity and Earth connection. Hadasah utilizes the modalities of murals, community craft tables, body art, community theater and song to bring people together.
